RMC vs McGILL Saturday - 2018/11/10

Kingston, ON - The Paladins (3-8-1) suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to one of the top contenders in the OUA: the McGill Redmen (7-3-1).

Before the game, the Paladins honoured those who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending our country with a moment of silence and a ceremonial puck drop from BGen Sébastien Bouchard, the Commandant of RMC.

Liam Murray got RMC started off on the right foot, scoring his second of the year early in the first period to give the Paladins the lead.

Redmen captain Jerome Verrier evened the score on the power play midway through the period.

Scott Emerson retook the lead for the Paladins, scoring his first of the year two minutes before the intermission.

1st Intermission

RMC led McGill 2-1 after 20 minutes.

After allowing two goals on 10 shots, McGill's first-year goalie Antoine Samuel was replaced by veteran Louis-Philip Guindon.

Late in the second period, Keanu Yamamoto scored his second of the year as McGill tied the game.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, the teams were tied at 2-2.

Antoine Dufort-Plante scored his second goal in as many nights to give McGill their first lead of the game with just 1:37 remaining.

RMC is back at Constantine Arena on Friday, 16 November at 7:00 PM for their Hockey Gives Blood game against the Nipissing Lakers (2-8-0).
