Carmelo Anthony By:Ethan Starr

Carmelo is athletic as you may know since he is in the NBA. Melo was drafted in 2003 by the Denver Nuggets. When he played for the Denver Nuggets he was one of the best scorers in the league. Then in 2011 Melo was traded to the New York Knicks and still is one of the best in the NBA. Melo was the number 1 player is high school.

Early years with the Knicks...

Melo is very helpful to the community. He helps donate stuff to help different charities that need help. Melo even has his own foundation. Melo spend money to help others. Melo is hard working. When Melo was 2 his dad died because of liver failure and ever since Melo has pushed himself to become one of the best in the NBA and he is.

Some important contributions Melo has done is he contributed 1.5 million to the living classroom foundations. Melo in 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami donated 35,000 to relief efforts. Then he donated 1,000 dollars per point scored against San Antonio and Houston in 2005.

The reason Melo is famous is because he plays in the NBA with other really good people. He is also famous for donating money for his community and fans. He is also famous for having his own foundation to help others who need help.

Melo is important because he donates money. His dad died when he was 2 because of liver failure. Also he was the best player in high school when he played. This is important because this shows that he went through tough times throughout his life and pushed himself to do good.

Things I admire about Carmelo is the amount of money he puts into charities and helping other. Just the amount of time to where someones life could be coming to an end and someone would help him and he would have a perfect life and that person is Melo. He is really good at basketball and if I had to be someone in the NBA it would be him.

As you can see Melo donates a lot of money to his community and the people around him and that is why I admire him.
