The Lady or the Tiger By: van

There was nothing I could do about the situation, but decide the terrible fate my love would go through. He trusts me with all his heart, so he will choose the door I point to.

He was looking at me. Waiting for a response. I pointed to the right door. There was nothing. Then, I heard someone scream: “Tiger!” My heart immediately dropped.

The tiger had escaped its cage and is killing everyone in sight. A few guards tried to hold it back, but it was no use. The tiger still thrashed through. All I could do was sit there in awe. There was nowhere else to go. The exit led down to where the tiger was rampaging. My father and I were trapped.

As I was watching the bloodshed, I saw him, my love. He was going towards the tiger with one of the guards’ weapons. The tiger leaped at him with intense force. He moved out of the way. The tiger tried again, he dodged again. The tiger was now fixed on trying to kill him. I’d never seen him like this. He was so quick on his feet, never letting the beast even touch him. Then he attacked it. They just stood there for a good five seconds until the tiger collapsed on the ground.

Everyone (who was still alive and in the arena) cheered. He was a hero who slew a ferocious beast. I rushed down to see him without my father noticing. I was running to him when he turned away. Where was he going? He stood in front of the door that wasn’t open, and opened it. There was the lady, trembling in fear. He took her hand and kissed her on the lips. So, they ran away together, very happy. It’s a shame she’s going to be killed tomorrow.
