Fashion(for men)

Dhoti

A dhoti is from 4 to 6 feet long white or colour strip of cotton. This is mainly worn by men in villages.

Lungi

It's either tucked in over the waist, up to knee-length or is allowed to lie over and reach up to the ankle.

Jodhpuri.

It's originated in the Jodpuri state as a formal attire. It's suitable for wedding and formal gathering.

Fashion(for women)

Sari

There are various style of sari. Its length is usually 5 to 9 yards and 2 to 4 feet in breadth. It's typically wrapped around waist.

Lehenga

It's a form of skirt from India sub continent. It's long, embroidered and pleated.

Shalwar Kameez

The shalwar Kameez is a kind of traditional dress used by various people of South-Central Asia.

Food(breakfast)

Parathas

A flatbread that originated in the Indian subcontinent.

Chole Bhature

A combination of chana masala(spicy chick peas) and fried bread called bhatoora.

Moong Dal Cheela

Nutrition packed pancakes made of moony dal, paneer and veggie inside.

Food(lunch)

Chana Kulcha

A dish that's made of cumin powder, ginger, coriander powder, carrom powder and some mango powder.

Gujarati Kadhi

It's made of a lot of bright vegetables, fiery masalas and topped with desi ghee.

Kohlapuri Vegetables

A vegetable dish that's made of ginger-garlic paste, grated onion, cinnamon, cloves, a lot of coconut and a string of gbrious vegetables.

Food(dinner)

Dum Aloo Lakhnavi

It's made of potatoes, crumbled paneer, kasuri methi, butter, union and some ghee.

Keema Biryami

It's made of minced meat, almonds, raisins, yogurt, onions and garlic.

Dum Paneer Kali Mirch

Small chunks of paneer cooked with cinnamon, fried onions, black pepper, ginger, garlic and yogurt.

Festivals

Diwali

It's one of the major festival of Hinduism. It's normally at the end of October and the end of November. It's an official holiday for Fiji, Guyann, India, Malayasia etc. people celebrate it in honor of Lord Rama, his wife Sita and his brother, Lakshmana from exile of 14 years after Rama defeated Ravana's.

Krishna Janmashtami

It's the festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. Hindus celebrate it at around late August and early September.

Teej

It's celebrated in Nepal, northern and southern India at around July, August or September. It's primarily dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva.

She was born in Lusiana, on December 9th, 1946. She has served as the president of the Indian National Congress since 1998.

He was born in Santiniketan, India on November 3rd 1933. He is an Indian economist and philosopher of Bengali ethnicity. He made many contribution to welfare economic, social choice theory etc.

He was born in Delhi, India on January 28th, 1955. He is an Indian-born American engineer and businessman. He is listed by Forbes magazine as a billionaire.

Viswanathan Anand

He was born in Mayiladuthurai, India on December 11th, 1969. He is an Indian chess grandmaster and a former world chess champion.
