My approach to this sketchbook initially was to start exploring the topics I was currently teaching to junior and senior cycle students. I began by creating visual aids for lessons taught including notes for future reference. This lead to exploring other possible lesson ideas that covered these topics. While working into my sketchbook I felt the need to push my own creativity and challenge myself to create drawings that I have in the past found difficult and what approaches helped me to draw these things. I wanted my sketchbook to be something I can take to school for students to look through, see the mistakes and the practice drawings. It eventually developed into a space to explore ideas and methodologies in Art and how my own practice can feed into my teaching and vs versa.
