what makes someone a hero by hannah hughston

many people can be called a hero, but that doesn't mean that they are in every persons mind. The way we personally identify someone as a hero depends on what we like and what we believe in.

point #1: what motivates us too acts of heroism is protecting the people we love;

good soldiers lines 24-26 "brent cummings cell phone rang and izzy was on the other line in a panic", the good soldier lines 32-36 "the only hope you have is to get her to an american hospital?" cummings asked repeating what izzy had just said, izzy started too answer the call when the phone went dead "izzy?" cummings said "izzy?" how did moments of decency occur in this war? "izzy" cummings said calling him back "bring your daughter here"

point #2: another reason people act as heroes is because they either want too prove to themselves that they are strong or to others that they are.

from the odysseyline numbers 416-418; "i would not need them in my glorying spirit but let my anger flare and yelled "cyclops if ever mortal man inquire how you were put into shame and blinded, tell him Odysseus raider of cities took your eye." , the odyssey line numbers 144-148 " friends, have we never been in danger before this? more fearsome, is it now, than when the cyclops penned us in his cave? what power he had! did i not keep my nerve and use my wits to find a way out for us?"
