The author is using a hyperbole and a simile. He is using a hyperbole when he says he could kiss his girlfriends lips all day, and i don't think you can actually do that. He is using a simile when he says her eyes make the stars look like there not shining. He is trying to say that her eyes are as pretty as the stars, maybe even prettier. Love can be one crazy roller coaster that everyone wants to take a ride on
I used a simile and hyperbole in my poem. My simile is comparing love and a never ending story, because love never really stops. No matter how hard you try to stop loving someone, you can't. My hyperbole is exaggerating about living without someone. When you are in love you can't imagine your life without them. You say crazy things like that because you love them. No matter what you think you can live without someone, even if it's hard to realize that.
