Your Journey Starts Everyday Where is today taking you?

Even though this page is about me, it's really about you... and why your reading about me."

If your reading my page then you might be wondering if I'm a real person and if I'm trustworthy. Well I am real (not a bot) and because I care about my reputation and personal life, I write in honesty. I intently live for the lessons and I don't mind sharing some of my experiences with you.

They call me Eliza-- in memory of my mother whose life has impacted me more than she knew. I come from an initially small family, but thanks to Ancestry discoveries, I've learned that my family is much bigger than I imagined.

I've always enjoyed writing, but didn't venture into it until later in life. As a matter of fact; I am normally a full-time employee in the auto industry. Hustling my broken body to the sweat shop to sign up for overtime.

But, over the last three or four years, I’ve been indefinitely laid off from time-to-time depending on economic behavior (or so they say).

I’m not new to work from home opportunities; however, I was always comfortable working 8-12 hours a day since I received a pretty decent income from my job. So I dabbled here and there (with some of these opportunities) without fully jumping into things. Mostly because it was fun and brought in some extra money here and there. Do you know what I mean?

The Workforce has Changed

I have researched so many things, and tried out a handful. But, when I first started (like before I knew where to start) I read articles, listened to audio books and watched YouTube. There was a lot of information available then, and still is. Sometimes the information was overwhelming, and I’d just stop.

Even while making a few extra hundred dollars a day, I’d still stop. I think the problem for me was simple. Fear. Not fear of failure; but fear of success.

I know that sounds pretty stupid but fear of success is just as real because the better you get at what your doing, the further away from your comfortable routine you become. And that’s the scary part.

Sometimes, when you reach new heights, you can't see whats coming next. This is my interpretation of "fear of success"
Paralysis of Fear

Not only that, but listening to others success stories online, seemed unreal.

Basically, I was so impressed by everyone else’s success, that I felt a little intimidated. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing and it made me feel insignificant. So I fiddled here and there, pretending I wasn’t serious (shh…only on the outside) but inwardly, I was praying for a breakthrough.

It wasn’t until my most recent layoff (same employer), that I really got out of my fiddling comfort zone and dove into this adventurous world of online-everything!

Avoid Scams. Do Your Research

Now, I’d like to share what I’ve learned. From e-commerce to consulting to makeup and blogging. My goal is to keep it straight forward and simple. Providing tools and resources to help the truly newbie online entrepreneur.

So, here I am. I decided to put my creative writing skills to work.
