Dreams Are What We Live For

"...when you really want something, it's because that desire originated in the soul of the universe..."

All throughout athletes' lives including my own, we dream of becoming and honing our best skill to go the farthest we can with our athletic path. The desire to compete or be active in our sport is so strong, we often, after practicing lay our heads down to rest and dream of the source that pushes us forward. The dreams consume us until we become overwhelmed, it isn't easy to push yourself mentally, and physically. As athletes we want nothing more than to be able to play the sport we love. The happiness that comes from playing our sport runs from the soul of the universe.

"You will never be able to escape from your heart. So it's easier to listen to what it has to say. That way you'll never have to fear an unanticipated blow."

Sports as an athlete never seize to keep pounding in our hearts and then flowing throughout our body. It's much easier to listen to our heart and keep pounding then turning away from what it has to say. In the long run it'll save you trouble because sports teach you many things you encounter in everyday life.

"We have to take advantage when luck is on our side."

Sometimes while competing we have a little luck on our sides. When we realize this, we shouldn't let up. Keep pushing forward and have the luck help push you in the right direction. This quote stands out to me because luck is often on our sides and it is extremely hard to put someone down or stop another team when they have luck help pushing them. We cant always rely on luck because throughout life, it wont always be present. So, without luck we have to work hard and focus on progressing as human beings.

"It's the simple things in life that are the most extraordinary."

I started playing sports as a young child, and even though it is extremely common and pretty simple, I've met, learned, traveled and encountered many extraordinary people, places and things. Without playing sports, I would've missed out on countless life lessons, meeting my best friends, and not having a chance to see some great marvels of the world. I am extremely grateful to have been able to take part in these activities that overall shaped and will continue shaping my life.

"The secret of happiness is to see the all the marvels of the world and never forget the drops of oil on the spoon"

As athletes we dream of succeeding, and when athletes succeed they have many opportunities to see the marvels of the world. In some cases though, the athletes forget the drop of oil on the spoon, they forget where they started and where they came from and leave it all behind. The key in life though is to succeed but don't forget where you started because, its from where you started as to why you are where you are when you succeed. As a young athlete I feel the need to spread the key of life so many other athletes like myself don't forget the most important key of life.
