Over 850 students from Elizabeth Barrett Elementary, Manachaban Middle School and Cochrane High School created and participated in the RVS Indigenous Games on Thursday, May 24, 2018, in cooperation with Jump Start Canada and Ever Active Schools.
It is so important that we incorporate Indigenous Games into our schools, as it promotes physical activity in a non-competitive environment, encourages authentic indigenous cultural activities, promotes local indigenous history and culture, and ensures that Elders promote cultural and historical sharing through storytelling and ceremonies.
