Entrepreneurs in Entertainment is an educational platform for the delivery of foundational business tools in order to help creative artists succeed in the business of entertainment.

In partnership with Powerteam International, Unite4Good, and the Active Entrepreneur, Entrepreneurs in Entertainment offer monthly events. These events feature carefully selected panelists who share their stories of challenges and achievements in the pursuit of success and deliver valued advice in select areas of business and entertainment. The success panel is followed by select keynote speakers who deliver the highly sought after secrets of success.

Jeff Timmons

Jeff Timmons, Founding Member of Grammy Nominated group, 98 Degrees

Jeff Timmons is the founding member of the Grammy-nominated internationally- acclaimed, multi-platinum-selling vocal group 98 Degrees, which has sold over 15 million albums, with four Top 5 radio singles.

The Group has produced such mega hits as “The Hardest Thing”, “I Do”, “Because of You”, and the No. 1 hit single “Thank God I Found You”, which is a collaboration with Mariah Carey.

After his stellar success with 98 Degrees, Jeff ventured out as a soloist, and single-handedly wrote and produced his first solo album, which was released as a joint venture with Rising Phoenix and SLG Music. The album’s first single produced a top 20 hit on both the Billboard adult contemporary and R&B charts with the song “Whisper That Way.” This song reached No. 1 in many major markets out-performing Usher’s “Burn”, and Alicia Keys “If I Ain’t Got You.” The Album also produced three additional chart-topping singles worldwide. In 2010, a single entitled “Emotional High” was leaked to the radio internationally and went No. 1 in 14 countries.

Jeff is a hard at work writing his first book, recording a new album, as well as pursuing film and television opportunities.

Gary Miller

Gary Miller, Renowned Music Producer, Founder, Rock Against Trafficking

Gary Miller is an internationally renowned English music producer, composer, arranger and songwriter. Gary wrote for the infamous English production trio, Stock Aicker & Waterman, who created hits for Donna Summer, Kylie Minogue, Bananarama and Rick Astley, amongst others. He's teamed with London’s highly successful production company, Metrophonic, responsible for creating worldwide hits for Cher, Enrique Iglesias, Rod Steward, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie and Andrea Bocelli, to name a few. Gary has performed with Nik Kershaw on Sir Elton John’s tour; has toured with Clime Fisher and George Michael, the latter as musical director on the epitomous 1988 Faith tour; as well as had studio and television time with Sting.

Gary’s further credits include composing and producing music scores for film and television. In 2011 Gary became the first English composer to write and produce a music score for a Russian feature film. In 2012 Gary wrote and produced 8 episodes for ”Sherlock Holmes,” a television special for Channel Russia. He is richly experienced and able to channel his knowledge and talent into initiatives such as Rock Against Trafficking, using the power of music to end human trafficking. Gary Miller’s Credits Include: David Bowie, Simply Red, Slash & Fergie, Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Ritchie, Donna Summer, Girls Aloud, Cheyenne, Bananarama, Kylie Minogue, and many others.

Gary Miller is President and Founder of Rock Against Trafficking, a registered non-profit organization with a 501(c)(3) status. Rock Against Trafficking leverages the power of music and celebrity to generate awareness and resources to end human trafficking by collaborating efforts with agencies and service providers dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of victims and survivors and enforcing the power of the law worldwide.

Alex Ferarri

Alex Ferrari, Filmmaker, Founder of Indie Film Hustle

Alex began his career as an editor and quickly moved up the ranks as a colorist, post production and visual effects supervisor. Coming from a visual effects/post production background, this versatile director combines his passion for storytelling and visual effects experience with a unique visual style. Alex exploded onto the indie film scene with his award winning short film BROKEN. The film went on to screen at over 200 international festivals and has been reviewed by over 250 news outlets world-wide including famed film critic Roger Ebert.

"Broken is essentially a demonstration of the mastery of horror imagery and techniques." - Roger Ebert.

Through self-distribution, the BROKEN : Special Edition DVD has also sold over 5000 units world-wide. Produced on a budget of $8000 and boasting over 100 vfx shots, BROKEN is one of the most celebrated shorts in recent years. He was featured in the international best-selling book "Making Short Films, Third Edition: The Complete Guide from Script to Screen" and is the co-author of "The Art of Broken." Alex then directed the award-winning short film Red Princess Blues, based on his live-action feature film, which stars Richard Tyson (Black Hawk Down, Kindergarden Cop) Rachel Grant (007 Die Another Day) and Academy Award Nominee Robert Forster (Jackie Brown). The film has been accepted into over 100 international film festivals thus far and has won multiple awards including Best Short Film, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Fight Sequence, Best Action Short and Best Production Design. The film was the first short film ever distributed through an iphone/ipad app. He established an award winning visual effects/post production boutique called Numb Robot, which specializes in editorial, color grading, visual effects, RED Camera Workflow, title sequences, commercials and independent films. He has also recently opened an animation studio who's first project is Red Princess Blues: Genesis, based on his live-action feature which is in development. Alex Ferrari's work runs from stunning live action to animation, from visually griping and stylish worlds to comic gems that will have you rolling on the floor. His body of work, highlighted by commercials spots for Comedy Central, a music video for the Three-Time Grammy Award Winning group Ozomatli (guest-starring Comedian Gabriel Iglesias), and the stylish Lipstick and Bullets, a compilation of your of his short film. Being frustrated in seeing how his fellow filmmakers were being "chewed up" by the film business, Alex decided to start Indie Film Hustle, a website dedicated to educating filmmakers and artists on to survive and thrive in the film business. He also launched a podcast focusing on filmmaking called "The Indie Film Hustle Podcast." Within three months of its start date the show became the #1 filmmaking podcast on iTunes. Alex's current project is his feature film debut, This is Meg. The film stars comic actress Jill-Michele Meleán (Reno 911, MadTV), along with Krista Allen, Joseph Reitman, Debra Wilson, Carlos Alazraqui, & Jenica Bergere. Alex wore many hats on this indie film including directing, producing, cinematographer, cameraman, editor, and colorist. The film is currently playing on the festival circuit.

Scott Busby

President and Founder of The Busby Group

Scott Busby, president and founder of The Busby Group, has been an active writer and a leader in the communications field for 25 years. His varied background as a top executive at a major PR agency, professional journalist and produced screenwriter – a rare combination among publicists – provides him with unique insight into the business and an extensive network of relationships with which he effectively advocates for his clients. Prior to creating The Busby Group in 2005, Scott served as vice president/practice leader at CarryOn Communication in Los Angeles, where he focused on the entertainment industry and tech start-ups. He was a senior associate for Outdoor Media, Inc., a PR and media consulting firm in Washington, D.C. specializing in environmental and conservation issues. He also worked for the Paul Spindler Company, an L.A.-based agency known for business and investor relations. As a screenwriter and producer, Scott has four produced films to his credit. As a journalist, he has written for many magazines and newspapers all over the country. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the Writers Guild of America, West.

Walter B. Batt, Esq.

Walter Batt is an Entertainment Attorney located in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Batt is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in International Business and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami-Coral Gables. Licensed in Florida and California, his boutique practice focuses, negotiation and contract development in addition to production support for films. With experience in myriad areas of entertainment and general business, Mr. Batt’s client base is diverse consisting of actors, production companies, public relations and marketing agencies, entrepreneurs, and distilled spirits manufacturing and distribution. As a former prosecutor, Mr. Batt occasionally represents selective clients in litigation matters, when required. As an avid exercise guy, Mr. Batt enjoys the gym in addition to films, friends and most of all his best clients--his dogs.

Arden Belle

Arden Belle, Actress-Writer-Producer

Arden is a dancer, writer, and up and coming actress known for her roles in ABC's Fresh Off The Boat, The Fosters, Black-ish, and Modern Family. Before this she was a competitive dancer and appeared on various Disney Channel shows. Most recently, she appeared as Amy Porter in the TV series, NCIS: Los Angeles.

Singer-Songwriter

Garnering high praise for her soulful and sultry sound, Claire London is a dynamic singer, songwriter and top liner based in Los Angles. Most recently, her music was featured in the movie 'The Girl on the Train', and she is currently writing her 3rd album. Claire is also co-founder of the music community, Female Frequency, who empower women in the music industry. They are releasing a collaborative EP this Spring in which every component of the music making, writing, and production was done entirely by women.

Marco is a Los Angeles based filmmaker and technology & media consultant. He is the CEO of Excel Endeavor Media and of RazorBang, an information technology and ad agency firm based in Beverly Hills. Most recently Marco produced the theatrically released feature crime-drama WATER & POWER, a product of the Sundance Feature Film Labs. From 2010 to 2012, Marco held the position of Vice President of Creative Development at SunCast Entertainment, a motion picture development and production company represented by William Morris Endeavor Entertainment. Previous to his position at SunCast Entertainment, Marco held numerous positions as consultant and/or project manager in the IT industry over a 20 year period with such companies as Adaptive Broadband, Inter-tel, WorldatWork, American Express and Red Bull. As a Senior Consultant at Oracle, Marco worked with brands such as Pella Windows, Advanced Digital Information Corporation (ADIC), GE Medical Systems, Karsten Ping, Hitachi Data Systems and Unisys Corporation. Marco is former CEO of AviaBid.com, the Internet’s first B2B aviation auction destination, where the “Aviation Internet Directory: A guide to 500 Best Aviation Websites”, published by McGraw-Hill Publishing, listed Aviabid.com among its top websites in 2001. Marco is a two-time fellow of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) Writers Lab and Producers Academy and a graduate of the UCLA Graduate Professional Writer and Producers Program. He is currently in development of a number of feature films, including CHILD NARCO and LICENSE TO STEAL.

Julie Galloway has been an entrepreneur and mentor most of her life. One of her most successful business ventures was a chain of art galleries that originated in Park City, Utah. She was also the founder/owner of a hugely successful corporate art event business, that included such clients as Citibank, Wells Fargo, Delta, Discover Card, UPS, Bally's, Paris, Harrah's, New York New York Hotel and Casinos, and a multitude of other hotels and Fortune 500 companies. She has owned and/or partnered in many other business ventures. She holds degrees in both business management and psychology and she created and implemented self-development programs for various counseling and rehabilitation centers including the highly regarded Aspen Ranch Education Group and Copper Hills treatment centers. She also designed and implemented a stress management program for the Utah criminal justice system.

She has received several prestigious awards including Business Woman of the year, 2005 in the state of Utah and the Hugh O'Brien leadership of America award.
