Yoga has been around for over 5,000 years. It is derived from the Sankrit word "YUJ" which means to integrate or to unite. By practicing yoga you create a zen type atmosphere. It is a wonderful way to exercise, meditate, and maintain proper body mechanics. The benefits of yoga are never ending! Some of the main things that yoga can help with are: Strengthening your body, keeping a calm mind (great for anxiety), help you regain focus of the world and situations around you, improve self confidence by being aware of your body, increases your tolerance and can help maintain mental health issues and lastly it can help with chronic illness pain like arthritis.
