I'm aware that there are MANY choices when it comes to hiring a photographer and for that reason, I have put together this guide so that you can learn all about me and what to expect and see if I am the right fit for your family. My work is unique and personal. I believe that I am able to capture emotional and moving images, because I take the time to get to know you and your loved ones. This is not an experience that involves sitting down, posing and smiling at the camera and getting a "few good shots" to hang on the wall. My experience is meant to be felt and remembered.
I strive to offer a fully customizable experience and take a large part in helping you every step of the way. From booking to gallery delivery day, we are going to chat and plan out every detail together. I love to create an authentic, personal connection with you and your family, and to then tell the story of who your family is and where you are at this exact moment.
I've broken down my full process and experience into four easy steps! Please read below to see how a session with me works from start to finish!
All booking is done easily online. The link to book is located at the bottom of this page. After you've read through this guide and all of the information we will set a date for your session. Once you have submitted the booking form and paid the session fee, you are officially on my schedule! Make sure to email me to confirm I received everything and I will get back to you with the next steps in planning!
After booking, we will confirm your date, and I will send you a link to the client experience and information page. Here you will find a pre-session questionnaire, what to expect at your session guide, what to wear tips and a list of recommended vendors when shopping for your wardrobe. The questionnaire is the first step in me getting to know your family more so that we can begin to plan your session. This gives you the opportunity to give me all your feedback and input on what you are hoping and looking for style and location wise and helps me learn all of the little things that will help your session be successful! I am hands on in planning, and this is truly what makes my sessions so successful in creating the beautiful, artistic and emotional images you see in my portfolio. I will suggest some location options and ideas (I've got a whole arsenal of amazing places we can use that I've discovered over the years!) and help finalize wardrobe selections and assist in styling. You also have full access to my client closet should you want to use anything, I just ask you discuss this with me prior so that I am able to have things ready to go for you!
If we have an outdoor session scheduled, don't worry, we will be in touch about weather and any other last minute things that may arise! In the event of inclement weather, we can switch to a studio session or work together to reschedule as quickly as possible. On your session day, I ask that you try and make sure that both you and your family members are well rested and fed before you arrive. I know this is easier said than done, trust me, but do your best to relax and have fun. Kids will be kids, and most likely everything won't go perfectly or as planned, but that is okay! You focus on them, and I will focus on giving you directions and prompts to interact and entertain your loved ones. Leave the work and worry to me, I've got this!
After your session, you will be sent an online proofing gallery within a few days. This gallery will show watermarked, unedited , web sized photos for you to view. Galleries only stay online for 72 hours, and during that time I ask you make your selection on which digital collection you would like to purchase. After you let me know the digital collection you would like, I will send you an invoice online and then finalize the retouching on your selected images. Once your images are ready you will be sent another online gallery with your fully edited selections and a code for immediate downloading. I am more than happy to recommend places to get prints to enjoy and share with friends and family!
