TEN DAYS TIMOR LESTE MISSION UPDATE

Before 2016 ended, we are all grateful for and encouraged by what the Lord has allowed us to do last month through our TEN days missions to the nation of Timor Leste. It is with great joy to share with you what happened in the mission field through your prayers and your generous partnership.

Engaging the lost:
TEAMore engaging the student in UNITAL, UNTL and University of Dili.

We went to 3 universities in Dili. We engaged the students, we treat them during lunch or to the mall, we did possible ways for us to preach the Gospel to them. We also invited the students in our Campus Mixer.

Campus Mixer is their version of our youth service in the Philippines. Almost 60 students from different campuses attended. They had fun with the games and the dancing and all. This is where we preached the Gospel to them. I had the privilege of preaching the love of God to them in the last campus mixer of the year.

Campus Mixer where we had the opportunity to preach the Gospel the students.

We also helped our ENLI Timor church prepare for the celebration of 3rd year anniversary. There were almost 100 locals together with their friends and families who attended the said gathering. It was an honor to see them worshipping and praising Jesus in their own language. Truly, God's faithfulness is clearly evident in this nation for the past 3 years.

THE GOSPEL CHANGES LIVES IN TIMOR LESTE.
PAYA IS ONE OF THE STUDENTS WHO ATTENDS OUR ENGLISH CLASS EVERY WEEK. I PREACHED THE GOSPEL TO HER WITH THE HELP OF A TRANSLATOR AND YES, BY THE POWER AND GRACE OF GOD, SHE ACCEPTED JESUS. AFTER FEW MORE CHAPTERS, SHE DECIDED TO BE WATER BAPTISE AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE SHE UNDERSTANDS THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST IN HER LIFE. ALSO, SHE WAS ABLE TO SPEAK IN TONGUES that moment.

It takes really the hand of God working in their hearts before they decide to be baptise. For some of the locals, accepting Jesus and being water baptise again would cost them their families. Some of our student leaders were disowned by their family members just by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Our leaders and volunteers there are really sold out with their faith in Jesus.

Her name is Betty. She is one of our passionate student leader in timor leste. She came to know christ through the help of a ten days missionEr. .

What's amazing about the faith of this woman is her full confidence in Jesus. Just like what I have shared a while ago, accepting Jesus costs Betty the trust and acceptance of her family. She was sent away and disowned and persecuted when her family found out her faith. She is now working to pay her tuition fees, and house rent and daily allowance while ministering to a lot of students and serving Jesus. Despite the persecution, she continues to connect and reach out to her mom and family members because she believe God will save them.

Just like Betty, we are in faith that the students we engaged, preached, will eventually be radical in changing the campus and changing the world. I can't wait to see the every student to be as radical as Betty is in reaching out the campuses and their community. Our efforts are not in vain.

No cultural or religious barrier is too strong for the Gospel, even in the most unheard nation on earth which is Timor Leste.

We want to say thank you for being part of this mission trip. These true-to-life stories would not be possible without your God's grace and your prayer and generous support. Nations like Timor Leste that are resistant to the Gospel are getting reached and experiencing revival.

On behalf of Victory Caloocan pastors and staff, TEAMore, ENTL and the students who encountered Jesus, thank you for partnering with us in establishing Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, socially responsible churches and campus ministries in every nation. May God bless you and keep you.

We will never stop preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ until every person encounters the love of God.
