The state was named in honor Charles IX of France and then King Charles I and King Charles II of England. King Charles I is important because of the state that was also remembered of his name.

Religion

-They are not dominated by a specific religion.

-This made way to religious freedom for Baptist,Anglicans,and others.

-There religion can be viewed differently.

Geography/weather

-North America is the warmest of the three regions.

-The geography in North America is coastal.

-Made it possible to grow crops throughout the year.

Economy/Roles of men,women,and children

-Concentrating on agriculture and developed the plantations exporting tobacco,Cotton,corn etc...

-Some of the plantations were massive and consisted of the main house.

-Crops were traded for items that could not be produced on the plantations.
