The purpose of this press trip was twofold. Firstly, key journalists were given a sample of Iceland with Icelandair’s stopover program on routes to New York City and USA. Secondly, what has been dubbed the ‘new’ New York was promoted through several tours, attractions, sites and dining options all pertaining to the areas of Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens.

During the five days, media were exposed to two extremities: Natural beauty in Iceland and the vibrant city life in New York City - both of which enchanted the group in their own way.
