Media Month Production

Exciting news from BBC Three...

BBC Three have sent a selection of creative briefs that you can put your ideas forward for. We would really like to you to work on ideas for these briefs as part of Media Month / CRAFT to develop your skills in creating digital content suitable for professional output.

Some of BBC Three's online content

BBC Three use a variety of formats for social media that incorporate innovative ways of engaging with their audience. As productions get underway during Media Moth, it would be great to document progress and post daily to social media sites. To get an idea of how BBC Three approach social media, here's a link: www.bbc.co.uk/bbcthree

BBC Three want ideas in all of these areas: specialist journalism, current affairs, short form You Tube dramas, factual entertainment, data journalism, viral social media videos and script writing. Each of the areas outlined may align with modules you are taking already, but we want the briefs to be open to all disciplines. This is a great opportunity to find an idea, develop it and produce it during Media Month/CRAFT to put forward to BBC Three commissioners.

The 6 best ideas will win a two week placement with BBC Three

Examples: Amazing Humans , sex slaves fighting IS , how swearing makes you honest

Please submit all ideas in the format relevant to BBC Three's guidelines by Friday 24th March to david.remes@bcu.ac.uk
