Day 2 - 2017 Tucson, Arizona Training Camp hosted by toronto triathlon club

The group woke bright and early for our 6:30am swim session in the 25 yard salt water pool. After a 600 yard warm up the main session consisted of 4x50 build, 8-14 x 100 yards at CSS pace, and followed with a 200 yard cool down.
After a quick breakfast everyone was excited to have their first big ride session of the week: 85km through Tucson to Catalina State Park and back. With Eric, Tara, and Chetan riding as group leaders, everyone had a group that suited their pace.
Many athletes across Canada and the United States join the Toronto Triathlon Club because of the incredible training camps offered, such as our flagship camp in Arizona.
Coach Eric D'Arcy helps the group practice their bike skills with pace lines (single and double) and drafting skills.
The dry Arizona heat proves challenging for even the best of riders. Fortunately the group meets up with the shuttle car at Catalina State Park to replenish their fuel and hydration before heading back for an optional run in the desert.
