RMS Gateways Field Trip to the da Vinci Surgical Robotic Center @ Temple University

Recently, the RMS Gateways Program had the opportunity to visit the da Vinci Robotic Surgery Training Center, in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, at Temple University.

Under the direction of Dr. Daniel Eun, M.D., Lindsay Parkes, PA-C, Anastasia Schwab, PA-C and Ari Keehn, M.D., students had the opportunity to learn the history of robotic surgery and hone their skills with the same equipment that surgical students use to train.

Students progressed through three different stages of surgical innovations. Suturing, Laparoscopic Surgery, and Robotic Surgery.
