A famous dish in South Africa is Bobotie. A sort of casserole type meal which contains lamb sausage but can be unhealthy if not made well.

In the 17th century, the Dutch and French landed and settled in Cape Town, bringing slaves from Indonesia, India and Malaysia, along with their spices and traditional cooking methods. When combined with local produce, the aromatic spices such as cinnamon, saffron, turmeric and chilli created fragrant curries and stews, which are still popular in the area today. This is considered a healthy option in South Africa

Malva pudding,A Dutch import, malva pudding is a sweet and sticky baked sponge pudding made with apricot jam and served smothered in a hot cream sauce. This is South Africa's answer to the British sticky toffee pudding, served in many restaurants but mainly baked at home for Sunday lunch. Not one of South Africa most nutritious plates but Is real popular In the South African culture.

But as much as the food there is diverse the water can be hazardous in some areas of South Africa. Many people bathe in it so it is not always the water to drink. It carry a lot of bacteria causing an outbreak or epidemic.

In 2012 guidelines were established to keep the the people of South Africa from getting disease:Enjoy a variety of foods./

Be active/ Make starchy foods part of most meals./Eat plenty of vegetables and fruit every day./Eat dry beans, split peas, lentils and soya regularly./Have milk, maas or yoghurt every day./Fish, chicken, lean meat or eggs can be eaten daily./Drink lots of clean, safe water./Use fats sparingly. Choose vegetable oils rather than hard fats./Use sugar and foods and drinks high in sugar sparingly./Use salt and food high in salt sparingly.

The primary crops that grow in South Africa include grains, sugar, fruits, potatoes, tomatoes, cotton, tobacco and tea. Ornamental plants are also common in the country, including gladioli, bulbs, roses, proteas and chrysanthemums.

Aside from all the diseases and nutrition and food Africa is a beautiful place to vacation and very spiritual way of life
