Space My webpage about space

There are eight planets in our solar system, they are called Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Uranus, Mars, Earth, Neptune and Jupiter.

Here is a video explaining some interesting facts about the solar system.

Earth is the third planet from the sun. It was formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago and is the only known planet to support life. The Earth has both land and sea.

The sun is the star at the centre of our solar system and is responsible for the Earth's climate and weather. The sun is almost a perfect sphere shape. One million earths could fit inside the sun. Added to this, the sun is 4.6 billion years old.

12 people have walked on the moon, the first was Neil Armstrong in 1969.
