GFC STORIES Lindsey Price

In the chaos of switching jobs, selling and buying a home and just nothing going right, Lindsey had a friend that was consistently inviting her to Grace Family Church. In December of 2016, Lindsey eventually said yes and she has been faithfully attending and serving ever since!

"I keep trying to find more and more reasons to come to Grace Family, I'm joining everything so I can be here more!"

Lindsey has grown up with solid morals and would regularly attend church with her family. She would call herself a Christian, but she lived a lifestyle far from it. Lindsey planned on serving in the military, however, her parents didn't give her permission. She then decided to go to the college farthest away form them and live how she wanted.

"I knew right from wrong, but when I got to the point when I was doing so many wrong things, it became the right thing..."

Friends and family members began leaving Lindsey's life due to death, fights and distance. She felt alone and became mad at God.

"Every bad decision and bad experience, gave me this feeling of emptiness and desire for something, but I didn't know what. I filled it with the only thing I knew, which was making more bad decisions."

When she walked into Grace Family Church, she had this feeling that the people she met, would leave. She felt like she belonged and so she got involved!

Lindsey recently got baptized and now sings in the choir, attends a weekly Bible study and also attends The Exchange!

"If I could tell my past self one thing, it would be to never loose that little voice in your head that tells you right from wrong and never betray it."
"My favorite Bible verse would be Isaiah 22:22 which says, "I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens, no one can shut and what he shuts, no one can open."

Pastor Mike Ash shared this verse during the first service Lindsey attended and it she has tightly held onto it ever since. She described the "door" mentioned in the very, to God in her life.

"I've felt like I've been pushing on a pull door with God. Now, the door is completely off the hinges and His love and blessings are freely and powerfully flowing into my life."
