Scorpions are arachnids and not insects. They live in Tropical and Sub tropical regions and Desert regions.

There are around 2000 species of scorpions and if there is no available food around they will kill and attack there young.

All scorpions are venomous but only 30~40 have enough venom to kill humans. Scorpions don't chew food they dissolve it with acids.

Scorpions come in a variety of sizes but the bigger they are the less poison they have. The small scorpions normally are the most venomous. The most venomous scorpion is the Androctonus scorpions. They can kill a somebody in a minutes.

The Indian red scorpions, Death stalker scorpions and the Arabian fat tialed scorpion are also very venomous.
