Guided Worship Opportunity

We understand that the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 situation have varying degrees of impact on different people in our community. Some families are feeling the effects of closures and cancellations deeply and severely, while others are able to generally maintain their rhythms of life with minor alterations. In whatever anxieties and challenges you’re experiencing, we want to provide an opportunity for you to step back, take a deep breath, and explore the promises of Jesus. Here, you will find scripture, songs, sermon clips, and questions that you may use this weekend to help you better understand the humanity of Jesus.

Updates on COVID-19

Yesterday, we sent out a letter updating our community that we decided to extend our cancelation of all large group gatherings through April 9. Unfortunately, this continues to include Sunday worship, all student ministry gatherings, and recovery services. You can read the letter and our initial letter by clicking the buttons below:

Community Resources

Do you have needs or the capacity to help others with theirs? Check out ways that our community is coming together to help each other during this time.

Giving at Evergreen

Evergreen is working hard to continue to care well for our church and our community. Like many businesses, families, and organizations, the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus put churches in a difficult financial situation. If you would like to give financially in the weeks in which we are unable to gather, you can do so by clicking this button:

4 Corners Offering

This series, we're partnering with Jehovah Jireh Ministries of West Michigan for our 4 Corners offering. Jehovah Jireh is a tangible expression of God's love and provision, providing free food and clothing, as well as Christian love and encouragement to approximately 200 families each week.

Virtual Book Club

Even though we’re experiencing some isolation, we wanted to create an opportunity to read a book together! Evergreen’s staff will be reading “The Importance of Being Foolish” by Brennan Manning for the next 7 weeks and recording a ‘Book Club’ discussion that you can listen to each week. If you want to join in, grab the physical or digital version of the book from Amazon or wherever you get your books. Afterwards, read pages 3-37, then check out our discussion on Spotify.

Sunday evening Recovery services are cancelled through April 5, but Bridge to Life groups at 6:45 p.m. will continue. Also, 12-Step meetings at Evergreen will continue as normal Monday-Saturday.

Sunday night Senior High Youth Group and Wednesday night Youth Group are cancelled through April 8 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Looking Ahead

Ladies Night scheduled for Monday, April 6 has been cancelled. Please contact Daena Vuyst or Evelyn Paauwe at the numbers above for questions.

Treasure Island, scheduled for April 17 and 18, has been postponed indefinitely. Thank you to all volunteers who have put in time to prepare for the play!
