I Volunteered to do Second Harvest Brown Bags for the Elderly. Each month volunteers come and pack food into 1,862 brown paper bags to seniors 60 years and older. I placed brown paper bags on pallets and distributed bulk food into the bags with the help of all the volunteers. We packed the bags full.
Islands High School hosted a FLAG competition which lets students or people compete at foreign language and get tested on fluency and how they pronunciation. After they went into the room and got quizzed they were awarded a medal and certificate of either superior, excellent, or moderate. I collected the quizzes and brought them to the test administrator who gave the person their certificate and medal.
Community Service Reflection
For the first time doing community service within my own community it made me feel, happy that people got what they needed. For instance, fundraising money and food for the elderly. I enjoyed seeing the children's faces being happy doing games and riding horses. The elderly receiving food that they needed so that they won't be hungry.
