Nora Friel was born and raised in Philadelphia. Nora met the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart while a student at Cardinal Dougherty High School.
After receiving a Degree in English from Rosemont College, Sister Nora taught at Our Lady of the Assumption, Strafford, PA and at Mother of Divine Providence in King of Prussia, PA.
Sister Nora transitioned in her ministry from elementary education to social work with children, teens and later, the elderly. She brought the compassion of St. Marguerite to whomever she met whether finding safe homes for children in the foster care system, or supervising case managers for at-risk seniors.
"I tried to stay true to Marguerite's legacy of spreading the Good News of God's compassionate love by offering protection and assistance to those whose lives lacked stability."
Thank you Sister Nora Friel for all you have done to Create a More Compassionate World!
