THE VISION “Aisling” of the Celtic School of Yoga is the calling back, a singing in, a homecoming, to our highest state of Being through the practices of breath, song, story, poetry, yoga, movement and stillness, in kinship with soul friends and a deep rapport with the Rhythm of the natural world.
The purpose of all the practices, stories and ideas shared through the Celtic School of Yoga immersions and teacher training is to empower you to trust your own inner wisdom, connect to the natural world and the Rhythms that run through everything to awaken to the rapture of living.
Together we will explore how to reconnect with the land and build a nourishing connection to the stories and traditions that nourished your ancestral lines. The purpose of all of this is will be the development of a yoga practice that sustains your capacity for joyful living and to share it through the service of teaching yoga. These immersions and teacher trainings are for anyone and it is not necessary to want to become a yoga teacher. These teachings and practices are tools to learn to love your life and live a life you love.
IMMERSIONS 1, 2 & 3 (Total 100 Hours)
Immersions will focus on the non-dual philosophy and mythology of the Celtic Tradition alongside the non-dual philosophy of Indian Tantra (as epitomised in Anusara yoga) and emphasise the connections and counterpoints involved in both. The emphasis of the philosophy module will be on the Earth wisdom, poetry, music, myth and philosophy of the Celtic world.
These transformational Immersions are designed for all students of all levels, backgrounds, religions and ages wishing to engage and deepen the experience of your heart, mind, body and world through your yoga practice. There will be no instruction on learning to teach yoga in these beginning immersion modules, and they are necessary to participate in the teacher training modules. You can expect the days to fly by and be filled with revelation through music, story and myth, philosophy, hatha yoga practice, bio-mechanical technical alignment based on the Anusara® yoga universal alignment principles, breath, meditation in the company of other like-hearted friends.

JACK HARRISON
Jack is a Certified Anusara Yoga Teacher, folklorist and musician with experience in many other forms of yoga practice. He has worked and studied in all three of these areas for the last 30 years and now integrates them in his Celtic School of Yoga and Music Workshops. He has taught in yoga studios all over the world and is Ireland’s best known singer of yoga music, inspired by both Celtic and Indian traditions.
The workshops include yoga poses, walking in the Burren, music, breath-work, poetry and myth. Jack works as a university lecturer in Irish Heritage, Museum Designer, and regularly leads walking tours in the Burren and sacred sites around Ireland. He is a principal author of a seminal book on the parallels between yoga and the Celtic world and he has also recorded three acclaimed albums of yoga music.
