Dr. Amanda Martin

Amanda Martin, Ed.D. currently serves as a principal at Rugel Elementary School in Mesquite, Texas. She has dedicated 18 years to education as an elementary and secondary teacher, mathematics facilitator, assistant principal and principal. This is the first year for KiDs Beach Club® at Rugel Elementary School and the program has been successful and has had a positive impact. Dr. Martin is an active member at First Baptist Dallas and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Shawna DeLamar

Shawna DeLamar, Ed.D. serves as the principal at Motley Elementary in Mesquite, Texas. This is her 23rd year in education. She has taught elementary school, middle school and coached girls’ athletics. She has worked as an administrator at elementary, middle and high school and is passionate about helping teachers and students reach their full potential! She is blessed with two beautiful girls, Hailey and Paige, and an amazing husband, who is a special education teacher in Mesquite ISD. She absolutely loves having KiDs Beach Club® at Motley Elementary. The volunteers have become valuable role models to our students, exemplifying the very character traits they teach each week. Not only do they teach our kids scripture and bible stories, but through this ministry, they are able to encourage and grow them spiritually. KiDs Beach Club® truly is an amazing opportunity for our students!

Pastor Ross Sawyers

Ross Sawyers is the lead pastor at 121 Community Church and calls it a gift to serve as the church’s pastor to provide leadership to what God’s desires are in this body of believers. He is passionate about living for Jesus Christ and leading other people to follow Him full on. He enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa. The couple has two sons, Andrew (26) and Barrett (24). Sawyers greatly values time with his family as they grow in spiritual depth, hang out at meals, laugh and play together. He is inspired by Jesus Christ and finds great inspiration from those men and women throughout the centuries that have suffered and died for their faith. Today, when he hears of people in other parts of the world and what they joyfully endure for the sake of Christ, he is encouraged to press on! Sawyers loves thinking about who he is in Christ, in that he considers himself chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven and sealed by the Spirit. He is grateful for his friends, and he enjoys working out and snow skiing. 121 Community Church partners with KiDs Beach Club® to do three clubs, at Carroll Elementary School in Southlake, Texas as well as Heritage and Silver Lake elementary schools in Grapevine, Texas.
