Blackstar Studios (formally Studio86) in Leeds city centre is a friendly small space for general studio work. We have a fully fitted kitchen for food photography and video. Rates start at £60 for 2hrs and include the use of our Studio flashes, trigger and a choice of 4 backdrops. Everything you need to come in and shoot. We can't always get to the phone and all our bookings are paid for in advance so please use our online booking system. Any questions get in touch or call in for a look around.

3d render of the studio

Studio hire comes with a Elinchrom 3 light set up with trigger and choice of backdrops as standard. Please contact us for any special requirements.

Backdrops, we have a range of colourama 2.5m rolls. Current colours, chroma green, dark grey, pink, dandelion. White and black smaller rolls

Location, 3 Briggate, Leeds LS1 4AF

We have a loading area to rear of the studio which is accessed down Blayds Mews (a dead end with a turning area). This can be tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area. We highly recommend you plan your route to avoid getting lost on the one way system.

We don't have our own parking but as we are in the city centre there is loads of parking around and about. From on street parking to the usual NCP. We recommend The Brewery Car Park close by. It's a large pay and display (and pay online) with long and short stay parking. There is excellent lighting, with CCTV and regular patrols and parking for disabled visitors. Opening hours are 6am - midnight.
