The Volvo Ocean Race

In 2017, GAC Pindar was appointed Official Logistics Provider for the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18, following a successful performance for the 2014-15 edition. GAC Pindar is the first company ever to be appointed Official Logistics Provider for the second time in the history of the iconic race running since 1973.

The global strength of the GAC Group, the event logistics expertise within GAC Pindar and the 'On the Ground' team support provided to the Volvo Ocean Race ensures the race infrastructure shipping schedule stays on track during the 45,000 NM race while it visits 12 host cities around the world.

GAC Pindar brings more than a decade of experience to any event site with knowledge gained from project management and programme delivery of three previous editions of the Volvo Ocean Race, along with events such as 2010 Commonwealth Games, America's Cup World Series and the 2012 London Olympics.

Vessel chartering

When event time lines are too tight for standard container liner services GAC Pindar has the know how and the capacity to charter in dedicated break bulk vessels to suit the exact needs of the event.

GAC Pindar held the title of Official Logistics Provider for the Extreme Sailing Series from 2011 all the way through to 2017 - and it is our hope that we will have that honour once again in the future.
