GOLDFIELD GHOST TOWN 2016 - ISABELA OLIVARES

GOLDFIELD GHOST TOWN IS A MINING TOWN THAT FOLLOWED THE RUSH FOR GOLD IN 1892. ON OCTOBER 7, 1893, THE TOWN WAS ESTABLISHED AND ITS POPULATION REACHED ABOUT 4000 BEFORE THE MINE DISCONTINUED IN NOVEMBER 1898. THE GOLD THAT WAS FOUND THERE YIELDED ABOUT 3 MILLION DOLLARS, BUT IN 1910 THOSE WHO LIVED IN GOLDFIELD MOVED ON AND THE TOWN BECAME A NEW TOURIST ATTRACTION.
