Kyle and Jill - Below you will see four different family-friendly resorts. These hotels will keep you between $4500-$5000 for 6 nights except for 1, which I will identify below. For now, I am going to introduce you to the hotels only. If you like one of these then we can get more into flight time options out of EVV.
Cozumel Palace: Cozumel as an island does not have many beaches. Cozumel is a fantastic place for snorkeling and diving because of the reef. Many of the hotels have man made beaches due to the reef. Cozumel Palace has a man made beach and two pools. It is across the street from their downtown. You can go shopping very easily. The rooms are spacious and each room has an oceanview. Here are a few pictures to give you a better idea of the hotel:
Azul Beach: Azul Beach is 30 minutes from the Cancun airport. Sits on a long, private beach. 3 pools and a kid's club. Beautiful grounds. 4 restaurants and a tequila bar. Azul has really good food quality.
Beaches Ocho Rios: This is the hotel that will put you closer to $6000 for a room here. I did look at Beaches Turks and Caicos as well. Beaches T&C starts out at $7300 for 6 nights. Beaches is made for kids. This hotel has a pirate's waterpark area, Xbox Lounge, a private, cove beach and several restaurants. Your room view would be of the resort grounds if you choose to stay at $6k. Ocho Rios is a 1.5 hour drive from the aiport.
Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Hyatt Ziva is on the West Coast of Mexico. I was over there in December and really enjoyed it. It would be a nice city to take Cullen downtown, walk the boardwalk, and even eat at one of the local restaurants. This hotel is mostly oceanview. It has one pool for everyone and one adult pool. Private, cove beach. The sand is a darker color than the Caribbean side of Mexico, but still a nice beach. Hyatt Ziva has several water sports activities on property.
