The Wright Brothers By: Adam khan

Orville was born on August 19, 1871. Wilbur was born on April 16, 1867. Wilbur was born in Millville, Indiana. Orville was born in Dayton, Ohio. Orville had a education of 3 years in high school. Wilbur had 4 years in high school. The brothers were both engineers and ran there own business.

The Wright brothers achieved many medals. To name some would be: the Albert Award in which they received in 1917 for the first people to ascend from Earth in a mechanical propeller. Another would be: the Collier trophy in which they earned in 1914, just after 3 years when the award was first made. Also, both brothers are in the Aviation hall of fame after they died.

The Wright brothers are most noticeable for creating the first air plane and fixed wing aircraft. The first planes had 4 wings, 2 on the left and 2 in the right on top of each other. In 1902 the first plane was invented, not long in 1914 planes were used in World War 1. Planes were modified for different purposes. Such as a Fighter plane or passengers planes that came in the early 60's. (Fun fact: before planes had weapons, pilots would use revolvers or small rifles to take out other planes.)

The plane in present day has changed a lot since its invention. Most planes have turbines now to transport things. Someone planes even have jet engines. Planes are much bigger now and include more technology like radars or GPS's. They are more proposes for planes too. Such as transporting goods, or people, or for military use. They are even many more that I haven't listed.
