After a lazy breakfast it was off to the public bus stop to catch the bus along the coast to Lindos, famous for its own Acropolis and jumble of white buildings around the base forming the town of Lindos.
Lindos is a beautiful and spectacle piece of Coast and we were blown away with its beauty especially as the weather was magnificent. We even packed our togs for the occasion knowing that Lindos has some lovely beaches on offer, even with sand!
But before relaxing, we headed up the steep climb to admire both the Acropolis along with the fortifications that had been constructed at a later stage in its history, but we were also spoilt with 360 degree views from the top!
We then headed for one of Lindos’s more secluded beaches (family friendly!) where we enjoyed a frolic in the Mediterranean Sea. Afterwards we then headed through the maze of white washed buildings of Lindos out the other side to enjoy the other beaches Lindos has to offer, along with watching the final rays of sunshine.
Rather than take the late afternoon bus back to Rhodes, we stayed on and ate an early evening authentic Greek dinner on a rooftop restaurant with views of the Acropolis. We then headed back up to the bus stop for the 8pm bus only to discover my timetable was for last month and we had missed the last bus for the day... It is what it is... Taxi!
