HYUNDAI YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP 2016 MIAMI DOLPHINS RECAP

MIami DOLPHINS HOSTED HYUNDAI's INAUGURAL YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP FEATURING DEVANTE PARKER AT BAPTIST HEALTH SOUTH FLORIDA TRAINING FACILITY

The Miami Dolphins sent out emails to their season ticket holders and e-newsletter subscribers, resulting in 417 RSVPs and 298 participants (a 71% show rate) – exceeding Hyundai’s participation goals by nearly 20%!

Prior to entering the facility at each session, parents encountered a 2017 Hyundai Tucson display and registered their child, who was given their very own Hyundai Youth Football Camp T-shirt. Before entering the bubble, parents and children interacted with the 2017 Hyundai Elantra and a Hope on Wheels-branded 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Pre-CAMP: INSIDE THE BUBBLE

Each child participant took a picture with DeVante Parker in front of a co-branded step & repeat.

After taking a picture with DeVante, the kids took a series of pictures in front of three Hyundai-branded platforms: Youth Camp, Broad Jump, Shuttle Run - where they posed and showed off their athletic abilities. Parents and kids were given QR codes for these pictures and asked to share these pictures on social media tagging Hyundai and #BecauseFootball.

While on line, parents were asked by Hyundai ambassadors to fill out surveys to have a chance to win DeVante Parker-signed jerseys, helmets and footballs as well as a chance to win tickets to Super Bowl LI. Hyundai received 339 surveys and generated 50 dealer leads!

The camp was led by Rod Huber, a boisterous head football coach for Mount St. Joseph University, who introduced DeVante Parker and led stretching and warm-ups before splitting the kids into 12 teams, each led by local high school and youth football coaches.

Each team went through wide receiver-specific drills, such as catching footballs, route-running, keeping feet inbounds, and more. DeVante engaged with each team over the course of the day, providing tips and throwing footballs to the kids.

During drills, the Dolphins Corporate Partnerships Team led facility tours for the parents, who were thrilled to be given inside access to the locker room, auditorium, renovated lobby, and more.

After team drills, DeVante provided closing remarks and thanked Hyundai and the kids for coming to the camp. He then took pictures with the lucky winners of the raffle. The camp concluded with parents receiving a photo booklet of their child’s picture with DeVante and an autographed DeVante Parker photo and the kids eating snacks and Papa John’s pizza!

TESTIMONIALS

Robyn and Tony Pelham from Orlando, who attended on behalf of Hope on Wheels and in memory of their niece and nephew with cancer, felt the event was “awesome” and were super thankful to Hyundai.

Raul Rodriguez and his family from Pembroke Pines provided a video testimonial, thanking the Miami Dolphins and Hyundai while stating the event was “really amazing” and delivered “much much more than their expectations.”
