The Murder of Sharon Tate When justice changed all.

The murder of Sharon Tate undoubtedly changed American culture. Sharon Tate's story is one of the saddest and horrific in our criminal history.

Sharon Tate was eight months pregnant when she was murdered with four other people on one hot afternoon in August. During her last moments she was with her husbands friend Jay Sebring, their coffee heiress, Abigail Folge, and Abigail's lover, Voytex Frykowski for a little get together while Sharon's husband Roman Polanski was out of town for a movie production. Unfortunately Steven Parent arrived to the Benedict Canyon Estate in Beverly Hills at the wrong time just trying to see the housekeeper Winifred Chapman who was out running errands at the time. There was a lot of laughter and love going on until part of the "Manson Family" interrupted their summer afternoon. Charles Manson sent Linda Kasabian, Susan Atkins, Patricia Kenwinkel, Charles Watson, and Leslie Van Houten to murder Sharon and all in the house.

Charles Manson and the "Manson Family" lived in Spahn Ranch. They lived there rent free but how to do their chores with labor work. Manson didn't allow books, watches, clocks, calendars, and glasses because he wanted his family to see the world for what it was, natural. He made a celebrity hit list and was going to keep having his family murder them, one of his ideals were Hitler.

On August 9, 1969, before even entering the house Watson cut all the telephone cords and killed Steven Parent in his car entering the driveway then when they finally got onto the property very pregnant and very beautiful Sharon Tate was mutilated. Tate was killed by Charles Watson and held down by Susan Atkins. She was brutally stabbed 16 times to her neck and her back. The attackers proceeded to cut off her left breast postmortem and put a giant "X" through her stomach. She was found in only a bikini nightgown and a cord wrapped around her neck bonded with Jay Sebring, who had died from suffocation. Atkins then dragged her body to her front porch and wrote "PIG" on her front door with Tates blood. Flykowski was shot twice in his head and stabbed 51 times trying to run to an exit.

Van Houten, Watson, Krenwinkel, and Atkins were all sentenced to death for 1st degree murder but commuted to life in prison in Corcoran State Prison in California. Charles Manson is also rotting in the same prison as his so called "family" for conspiracy charges for the rest of his life even though he technically did not murder anybody. Linda Kasabian was also at the Tate house that night but stood outside on watch, so for her testimony against her "family" she got immunity.

The Manson Family effected our society by having more media coverage about cults and how dangerous they could be, to let somebody control you and manipulate you into thinking you're doing the right thing even though you know it's wrong.
