If you're like me, you've rotated between watching the news in abject horror, taking the occasional mental health break to breathe, and jump right back into whatever way you release rage (running, bourbon, yelling at people on facebook -- I don't judge).
Above all, there is an overwhelming feeling of not knowing what to do. What can you do from all the way up here that will actually help?
I was at a loss of what I could do; I had already made phone calls to government officials and donated the money I could. It still didn't feel like enough. That's where you come in. All you can give is the skills that you have, so I'm putting my time where my (often loud) mouth is.
On June 22, 2019, Jacqueline Connor Boudoir will be hosting limited edition mini-sessions with 100% of the proceeds going towards the Yellowhammer Fund.
How it Works
Beyond feeling like a badass and helping folx who really need it, you will receive the following in exchange for a $300+ donation to the Yellowhammer Fund.
A 30-minute boudoir session with up to 2 outfits, and full-access to our size inclusive studio wardrobe.
15 fully retouched digital files with a personal rights release. (A $750 value)
Sessions will take place on June 22, 2019, at my studio in Lancaster, NY. Slots will be available from 10 am to 6 pm.
I'm in, how do I sign up?
Step One: Make a $300+ donation to the Yellowhammer Fund
Step Two: Send the receipt over to jacqueline@jacquelineconnor.com
Step Three: I will send over the link to reserve your spot and a contract.
Step Four: Be a badass, get amazing photos of yourself (or your BFF) and help folx in need at the same time.
Any questions? Let me know, I would be happy to answer anything.
FAQs
"Is hair and makeup included?" While hair and makeup are included for full sessions, it is not available for minis. If you would like a list of awesome people to hire yourself, I would be happy to send one over.
"I don't have awesome lingerie." That's totally okay. I have a boudoir styling guide I will send over with plenty of ideas, and you don't even have to wear lingerie at all. I have an extensive boudoir closet that you will be welcome to use.
"Will they be available at any other date?" Mini-sessions are only available once a year for charity, and at this time there will not be a second date.
"This is awesome, but I don't want a boudoir session." That's absolutely fine! It's a personal decision. You can buy this session for a friend or other folx who might be in need of a boost. Or you can donate on your own, Yellowhammer is fantastic.
"What if I want to keep my boudoir photos private?" Your comfort is my top priority, especially with the intimate nature of boudoir. If you would like your images to remain private, they will not be seen by anyone but you. There is absolutely no pressure to sign any form of model release, and I take every step possible to ensure your photographs stay as private as you would like them to be.
"What is the Yellowhammer Fund?" The Yellowhammer Fund provides funding for anyone seeking care at one of Alabama’s three independent abortion clinics and, in some cases, for care at Feminist Women’s Health Center in Atlanta and DuPont Clinic in Washington, D.C. We help with other barriers to access (travel, lodging, etc.) as well as able.
