THANKFUL One Word To Sum Up Year 2016

Twenty sixteen just ended and lot of things happened - both good and bad. Many tears shed and many laughs heard. Friends had gone and new people have come. Seasons may change but one thing remains, God is always the same. He is faithful and loving through out these years. We have seen His faithfulness last 2016 and for that we are THANKFUL.

As a ministry, aside from the #Goals that were met and we are still believing for, there are lot of things we are thankful of.

Thankful for New Campuses

We thank God for new campuses that opened its door for campus ministry. We finally got the opportunity to reach out students from Alabel Science High School and STI Senior High.

Thankful for Lives Being Changed

Last year, we had the biggest crowd of students who were part of our ministry. More thanĀ 500 students were reached out and connected to our small groups, who met week in and week out in 15 different campuses all over General Santos. Lives were influenced and changed by God. And are still being transformed and impacted as of today!

Almost 300 of these students gathered to join our Youth Services every Friday to fellowship (know each other, encourage one another and grow together in their relationship with God).

Thankful for Student Leaders

Reaching out to more than 500 students wouldn't be possible without the student leaders who tirelessly led their respective campuses with passion and zeal. Fifty seven (57) students, both high school and college, took the challenge of leading their schoolmates to Jesus.

We believe that these students are actually part-time campus missionaries whom God has placed to reach out inside their respective campuses. And that's why we equip and empower them to become the leaders whom God wants them to be.

Thankful for New Campus Missionaries

Of course, we also have those who answered the call of God to full-time campus ministry. People who sacrificed their own careers and dreams to reach out to the campus and see the students being changed by God one life at a time.

Last year, 3 campus missionaries from Gensan graduated in the School of Campus Ministry. It's a 3-Month intensive training to equip Campus Missionaries in doing campus outreach, student discipleship and leadership development.

(Above) Odie Benedicto graduated last April 2016 in the School of Campus Ministry Batch 15. (Below) Vyne Hautea and Jupeter Ayuban graduated last November 2016 in the School of Campus Ministry Batch 16.

There are also three (3) incoming Campus Missionaries who have been added to the team of campus missionaries in General Santos City. This year, they will enter the School of Campus Ministry. These three (3) were once students and now co-laboring with us in the campus ministry.

Ruel Vincent

Reached out when he was still in 1st Year College at Brokenshire College, SOCKSARGEN. Joined the team last March 2016. He's reaching out to the students of SPED Integrated School Gensan, Joji Ilagan International School and Hope Christian School.

Sharmaine

Also joined ENCampus Gensan last March 2016. One campus missionary reached out to her when she was 2nd year student taking up BS Education at Mindanao State University. She's now passionately reaching out the students of Holy Trinity College, Wizard Academy and Mindanao State University.

Arej Vien

Last 2006, a team of short term missionaries from Victory Quezon City came to Mindanao State University - CETD to reach out and minister to students. Arej, 1st year highscool back then, was one of those students who got to hear the gospel. She got discipled by one of our local leaders and continue to know more about God and grow in her relationship with Him. 10 years later, she answered the call of God as a full-time Campus Missionary. She's reaching out to students from Mindanao State University - CETD, Brokenshire College and Alabel Science High School.

All in all, we have twelve (12) passionate full-time campus missionaries. And we believe that God will add more to that number.

Thankful for Ministry Partners

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1:3-5 ESV

All these things will never be possible without ministry partners like you. That is why we are really grateful for your partnership with us in doing campus ministry. We are excited to do more of campus ministry with you this year. Together, let's reach out to more campuses, see more lives being changed, train more leaders and raise new batches of full-time campus missionaries. Again, thank you so much for your prayers and support.
