We are rewarding the last #thankfulThursday to the entire MIS Community (Families, Students, Staff & Community Members). This is not how we ever imagined ending our 2019-20 school year; however, it has been amazing to see the support that everybody has provided to our students and staff. We wish everyone a safe, happy and well deserved summer vacation.
In addition, we appreciate everyone who took the time to send a kind comment regarding our staff members this year. It was awesome to be able to start our weekly staff meetings with a kind word/comment that had been shared.
6th Grade farewell - "Car parade"
We would like to invite all of our sixth graders and their families to Brandywine Park (900 E Davis Rd, Greenfield) on Friday, May 29th from 6:00-7:00pm. We will be hosting a social distancing drive-thru "celebration". The plan is for staff to line the drive and families can drive through, if they desire, so we can say good-bye prior to students departing for GCJHS.
Please note, families and students will be asked not to exit their vehicles during this event so we can adhere to current social distancing and group gathering numbers. This event will occur rain or shine unless thunder & lightning are in the area.
We hope to see you all at Brandywine Park (of course, from a safe distance)!!
END OF YEAR/LOCKERS, ETC.
Greenfield-Central Schools will adhere to the Governor's announcement that school buildings will remain closed through June 30th, 2020. At this time, non-essential items will remain secured in the building. When arrangements to pick up items are made, our families will be notified. Thanks for your understanding.
virtual talent show
The talent at MIS was amazing again this year! Please check out this year's virtual show. These are some AWESOME acts!!

As shared by Dr. Olin previously, all buildings will remain closed through June 30th, 2020. At this time, we are planning on letting all students hold onto devices until July. In the near future, we will be sharing a plan regarding the collection of devices.
If you are moving away from GC and will not be attending GC Schools next year, you can schedule a drop off time by emailing email@example.com. A scheduled drop off can occur anytime after May 22, 2020.
Due to a shutdown at the production plant, it appears it might be late summer prior to us receiving yearbooks this year. It is very likely that you will get these next fall upon our return. We will be sure to work with GCJHS to get them to our current 6th graders. If you happen to be moving away from GC Schools this summer, please get us an address so that we can get it sent to you.
Camp Invention Connect
This summer we are once again looking forward to partnering with Camp Invention to bring a hands-on, STEM-based camp to our students. However, due to the impact of COVID-19, we will be transitioning to a brand-new, at-home camp experience called Camp Invention Connect. Although we cannot fully recreate the experience of attending a camp in person, we are excited for our families to engage in learning together.
If you are interested in registering a child, we do have many $100 scholarships available to support our G-C families. This brings the cost of Camp Invention Connect to only $75 per child. Please complete the Camp Invention Scholarship Form if you would like to learn more about this scholarship opportunity. A huge thanks goes out to our community partners for providing scholarship support: Duke Energy, Hancock Health, G-C School Foundation and Vectren.
