On May 31, 1910, 8 years after Boer made peace with the English. South Africa became Union. British and Afrikaners were able to unite to form the Union of South Africa, even though they were a lot of conflict.

The African National Congress (ANC) is South Africa's is the Republic of South Africa's governing social democratic political party and are in power since April 1994. The organization was founded as the South African Native National Congress (SANNC) on January 8th, 1912 in Bloemfontein, with the aim of fighting for the rights of black South Africans. And it was renamed to the ANC in 1923.

During the World War II years, the National Party gain control. And it was in the government till June 4th, 1948 through May 9th, 1994. And it for the Afrikaner, Dutch South African, and Nationalism.

The Population Registration Act was passed in 1950. And that you had to identify yourself in your physical appearance and where they belonged in these four rascial groups: White, Coloured, Bantu (Black African) and other.

"A White person is one who is in appearance obviously white – and not generally accepted as Coloured – or who is generally accepted as White – and is not obviously Non-White, provided that a person shall not be classified as a White person if one of his natural parents has been classified as a Coloured person or a Bantu..."

On June 12, 1964, Nelson Mendela was sentenced to prison

The year 1994 ANC wins elections and Mandela became President with the vote of 62.7%
