Religion Across The World By: Corbin montayne

Day 1 - Hinduism

I on my way to the airport to go to Maharastra, India to study what Hinduism is really about. When I arrive I am greeted by translator who speaks Hindi. First, we travel to our room and get situated for our visit in India. I read some books about the religion and the architecture in India about Hinduism. Did you know that Hindu's pray three times a day; once at home, once at a temple, and once at a street/road shrine? The Holy towns are; Ayodhya, Mathura, Haridwar, Varanasi, Kanchipuram, Dvaraka, and Ujjain.

Day 2

As I wake up in the morning, I hear small whispers. I follow the sound and it lead to my translator praying to his house shrine. We ate some vegetarian food, which I can't remember what it was called, but it was very delicious. He told me that many Hindus don't eat meat. I thought it was very odd, but what ever. We set out to go explore Marleshwar Temple. Many say it is blessed with hundreds of waterfalls. It was very beautiful to the eye, but there where many snakes around that area. Now I fully understand the importance of Shiva and Durga. We head back to the "hotel" with all my pictured taken.

Day 3

I am packing up to go home to prepare for my next trip. India was a very unclean place with many slums in them. Other than that I enjoyed my stay here.

The map has all the holly cities, one of the holly cities Varanasi, and the main gods Durga and Shiva.

Day 1- Buddhism

Today I am going to Thailand to learn more about Buddhism. When I arrive I am greeted by translator who speaks Pali. First, we travel to our room and get situated for our visit in Thailand. I read some books about the religion and the architecture in India about Buddhism. In Buddhism, there is only one god and he was on the path to total enlightenment. He was rich but then became poor.

Day 2

I wake up yo my translator meditating, he was very still and very quiet. He told me it was to channel his inner spirit in order to be, the best him he could possibly be. We set out to Lumbini, where Buddha was born. It was a very quiet and calm place, where many people meditated. There was a big shrine of Buddha, it was very pleasing to the eye.

Day 3

The Five Pillars are; shahada, salat, zakat, sawm, and hajj. Muhammad said an angel talked to him about god and wanted t spread that knowledge to everyone.
