Starting 2017 with a bang… It didn’t take us long to jump into ministry in 2017. January 3 found us spending a long day (14 hours total) with a ministry team. We’ve been doing these team days all over the country, but this one was local.

Working with a team…

These days of working with teams are the best of all worlds of what we love about ministry.

…Opportunity to teach,

…to coach individually,

…to do leadership coaching,

… to pray for and with the team, and

…to hear what God is doing through the team in seeing changed lives on campus.

Not to mention opportunity to eat juicy dumplings together!

None of these teams are perfect, but each team has demonstrated such open hearts that has made these past few months very significant.

Student Conference…

A week later found us at our largest student conference of the year with students from at least 8 different states. The whole weekend was filled with highlights, but the “Day of Faith” was one of the most significant.

The balloons in the air below represented the 716 Christ centered conversations initiated by the students during a six hour period. The faith steps taken by so many students to express their faith was inspiring to us, and we’ve been doing this awhile. We were proud to have had a part in the effort.

Please Pray…

I (Tom) will be coaching a couple of our teams who are in closed countries Jan 26-Feb 4 in Thailand (Including a brief visit to Manila to see Brian, Christine & the kids!). Pray for safety, wisdom in coaching, and that these teams will be prepared to go back for the last half of the year.

At the same time please pray as Karen will be meeting with our first year Interns from around the US here in the Long Beach area Feb 1-4!

Great news! The Lord supplied within a few dollars what our prayers were for the end of 2016. It couldn’t have been much closer – and it was over not under. We ended 2016 in the black!

Thank you for praying and for giving.
