Broncos Rookie Day June 6, 2016
Bonfils Blood Drive
#BroncosRookieDay kicked off at the Bonfils Blood Drive where the players toured the facility, interacted with donors and heard from an ambassador whose life was changed after receiving blood donations.
"I LOVE DOING THIS KIND OF STUFF," SAID QB PAXTON LYNCH. "I THINK IT'S REALLY IMPORTANT AS A ROOKIE TO BE OUT HERE AND SHOW THAT YOU'RE INVOLVED IN THE COMmUNITY."
The Rookies split for the second stop of the day with the offense going to the Children's Hospital while the defense headed over to the University of Colorado Hospital to visit patients.
Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club
After a morning of visiting blood donors and patients, the rookies' next stop was a chance for them to inspire the next generation of Broncos' fans. They refueled at a pizza party with the kids, but soon a full scrimmage was taking place outside with QB Paxton Lynch practicing the playbook.
Food Bank of the Rockies
Next stop on the #BroncosRookieDay tour was the Food Bank of the Rockies where the offense and defense faced off in packing boxes for senior citizens that qualify for food assistance.
Denver Rescue Mission
The Broncos rookies finished their day in the community at the Crossing, a Denver Rescue Mission facility, where they learned more about the services offered and homelessness in Denver before spending the rest of the afternoon on the playground with the Broncos Youth Camp.
