JOIN THE TEAM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to inspire the people of Aberdeen about Greyhope Bay and our plans for a new marine experience centre that will connect the city to our marine world!

Our pop-up shop at the Bon Accord Shopping Centre brings the project to life through an immersive exhibit where visitors can experience and learn more about Aberdeen’s unique coastal location, maritime heritage and incredible visiting wildlife – our dolphins!

The shop includes our fun kids’ corner with interactive games for all ages, café space for events, shop merchandise and feedback space for the visitor to share their stories and hopes for Greyhope Bay.

Shop Manager Volunteer (15-25 hrs per week)

• Welcome visitors to the shop, share and inspire individuals about Greyhope Bay

• Liaise with organisers of events in shop (marine education workshops, storytelling etc.)

• Key holder

• Manage and order merchandise

• Manage volunteers to ensure shop is staffed Tue-Sat

Person Specification:

No experience required as full training provided, but we require that you are dedicated, reliable, willing to learn & we'd love it if you can commit to a minimum of 3.5 shifts per week (15 hours). Weekend or weekday shifts are available, we're flexible!

An ideal opportunity to gain fantastic work experience and meet new people whilst contributing towards an exciting and innovative project for Aberdeen.

Social Media Marketing Volunteer (10 hrs per week)

We are seeking a tactical Social Media Marketing Officer to come and join our close-knit team and help get the word out about Greyhope Bay and our plans for Aberdeen.

The ideal candidate will implement online and offline marketing campaigns that drive engagement with Greyhope Bay and our pop up shop across our social media channels.

• Manage social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, MailChimp and Instagram) for marketing Greyhope Bay activity, fundraiser and events.

• Ad-hoc administration

• Based at pop up shop

Person Specification:

You’ll have good editorial skills, lots of creative ideas and be passionate about creating engaging content for Greyhope Bay. Good knowledge and keen interest of social media platforms and marketing strategies, enthusiastic, organised and a great team player.
