The climate in South Carolina is usually warm all year, around 90 degrees, except in the winter. The winter climate is very mild, around 50 degrees. There is around 40 to 80 inches of rain most of the year.
Important food resources in South Carolina are peaches, corn, wheat, and soybeans.
Some important resources found in South Carolina are cotton, hay and mined gold
One of South Carolina's tourist attractions is the Carolina Panthers' stadium, just across the border in Charlotte.
Another one of South Carolina's tourist attractions is the Botanical Gardens.

South Carolina Nickname.

South Carolina's nickname is the Palmetto State, known for the palmetto tree. It has has other nicknames, like the Iodine State.

The state flower of South Carolina is the Yellow Jessamine, which is obviously yellow.
The Carolina Wren, state bird of South Carolina is brown on top and tan on the bottom.
These Palmetto trees are the state tree of South Carolina.

The state seal/ motto

The South Carolina state motto is "Dum Spiro Spero", which means,"While I breathe, I hope."

The American Revolution was a harsh time in South Carolina history. It was an important historical event.
Another important historic event in South Carolina history is when South Carolina established Clemson College in 1889.
James Brown was a famous singer, and he came from South Carolina.
