On October 19, 2019 the largest reunion in 30 years of all-star northwest comedians will take the stage in support of Comic Aid and its inaugural recipient, Seattle comedy legend Rod Long.
For 35 years Rod Long has made thousands of people laugh as well as being an active member of the Seattle community. His name is on the plaque at Century Link Field honoring those who spearheaded the campaign to Save Our Seahawks. He has also given his time to numerous charity events.
For the last year Rod has been in the battle of his life against pancreatic cancer, enduring major surgery and undergoing 27 rounds of chemotherapy. Unable to work for over a year, Rod’s savings have been wiped out leaving him and his fiancée with piles of bills and concerns over losing their home. This benefit is to raise funds for Rod and to establish the COMIC AID fund.
AFTER THE COMEDY SHOW THIS EXCITING TRIO WILL PLAY A GREAT MIX OF MUSIC
COMIC AID will be a source of funds to help entertainers get back on their feet and working again after a medical catastrophe. These funds will serve to help pay bills and day-to-day living expenses while they recover. #LetsDoSomethingGoodTogether
