ASTRODEATH “Astrodeath are my 2nd and 3rd favourite band." "Those guys play like mad cunts” “Best band I’ve seen since the last time I saw Astrodeath” “Fucken sickest cunts” - Jay Whalley , Frenzal Rhomb

"With the cosmic fury of bands 10 x times their experience. Their debut self titled album enters our atmosphere on a collision course with earth"

Astrodeath are a duo born in 2018 as the heavy-hitting, sludge-grunge brainchild of Timmy Lancken (guitar and vocals) and Yoshi Hausler (drums). Their self-titled debut album is a concoction of tormented vocals, heavy slabs of evil riffage and titanic drums that will slap you right across the head.

Touring relentlessly off the back of their debut album, carving out a solid reputation in just a year of existence and supporting bands and artists such as 1000 Mods, Nick Oliveri, The Svetlanas, The Neptune Power Federation, Bare Bones and Hammers, Astrodeath remain hungry and determined to bring in 2021 with brutality. The sweat on their brows will not dry until all socks are thoroughly rocked off.

The band will be hitting the studio again in January 2021 to record their second full length album titled ASTODEATH Vol.2. The album will be recorded at the band's rehearsal space/studio dubbed “Shabby Roads Studio” with friend and producer Nick Franklin back on the desk for round 2! The first single from the album “Leviathan Rising” is due to be released in early February 2021. The leviathan Rising Tour will see Astrodeath carve up and down the east coast hitting QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC though out February/March 2021

RELENTLESS BRUTALITY and LIVE STREAM CONCERT

In July 2020 The band recorded a single called Relentless brutality at Housefox studios In Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia with engineer and mate Ryan Miller (Black Rheno). With the Coronavirus pandemic hitting the live music scene hard, Astrodeath decided to go back to Housefox studios to film and record a live stream for the fans that were in lockdown having to wait out the pandemic. They have also started the writing and demoing of their next record that they plan to release in early 2021 with more news on this soon. Astrodeath will keep the flame burning until our city belongs to the people and until the night belongs to lovers of heavy rock and roll!

"Astrodeath can't fit in and won't fit in. The DIY approach in all that they do stands out strong in the Australian scene. Their bombastic, cut throat riffs and changes is strongly reminiscent of Helmet, The Melvins and various 90s Grunge bands" - Anthony Blayney , Your Mate Bookings

REVIEWS AND ACCLAIM

"As a label owner, I’m looking for fresh and consistent new music on a daily basis. And when I first heard ASTRODEATH, I instantly felt the typical rush, the incredible feeling you have when you just discovered your new favorite band. It happened so naturally that we had to be involved one way or another with this incredible two-headed monster that channels the sheer velocity of punk, the always comfortable thickness of Doom and melodies that hook you up, never to get loose of. This is nothing but fucking talent in my book" -Thomas Bleuze, Blackfarm Records

HAPPY MAGAZINE

" I don’t think there has ever existed a two-piece band capable of creating as much noise as Sydney duo Astrodeath. Made up of guitarist and vocalist Tim Lancken and Drummer Yoshi Hausler, the band stomp through a blistering concoction of sounds that will slap you right across the head. As the band gear up to release their debut self-titled album later this year, they’ve shared the record’s first single Humanoid Slave. With the track’s release, Astrodeath have immediately established their intentions of belting out unapologetic slices of heavy rock."

BEHIND THE SCENES...

"The song opens with a grungy guitar tone and a simple, classic riff; Drums tap to build anticipation and a long vocal fry scream unravels into the track. I’m getting major Queens of The Stone Age vibes, and I honestly feel like Josh Homme would dig this to no end. This track was recorded at Linear And Rolodex Studios by Nick Franklin, where of which I assume the video was shot. It’s a nice, simple video of them all in the studio having a jam and laying down the tracks. The aesthetic is simple with an ambient overtone, it perfectly compliments the sonic elements and truly brings it together as a whole."

"Two 70's underground sci-fi comic book super-villains escape a black hole by playing their death-ray doom muscle car thunder bass so fucking loud and so fucking heavy that time and space literally split open like a monkey fucking a watermelon to reveal Astrodeath was the cause of the Big. Fucking. Bang. Chew on that suckazzz." - Stephen Burnett, Honey Tea and Maple Wood Guitars
