Why did you choose Ole Miss?

Actually, I did not even consider coming to Ole Miss after community college until a school representative came and talked about all the great things this amazing community offers. I began to scan through all the brochures and explore the school’s website. I quickly scheduled a tour and fell in love with it the day I arrived. I chose Ole Miss because of the close-knit community and the beautiful campus.

Why pharmacy?

I chose pharmacy not just to help people, but to change their lives by building relationships with my future patients. Through these relationships, I hope to better educate my patients both on their medications and lifestyle choices, ultimately leading them to a fulfilling life.

What's your favorite class?

My favorite class is Pharmacology! This class not only allows me to see how the human body functions as a living system, but how medicine can help restore normal function of the body when it is interrupted.

What are your career goals?

My career goal is to become a hospital clinical pharmacist upon completing my Pharm.D. My life goals are to mentor and help raise up the next generation of health care professionals.

Favorite food?

Literally any type of cereal.

Favorite musician?

My favorite artist is Gregory Alan Isakov, a folk artist from South Africa. I am constantly inspired by his thought-provoking lyrics.

Favorite place to study?

I try and switch up the places I study as often as possible. I do not like to be too comfortable when I am studying. I believe this helps me recall information more effectively because it allows me to be more aware of my surroundings, which provides my brain with environmental cues.

Any extracurricular activities?

Drummer in Eddie Willis and the Narrow Path Band; pharmacy intern at Kroger Pharmacy for the past four years; P1 Class Member of the Year; Small group leader at M28 Camp; volunteer in the pharmacy at North Mississippi Medical Center; worship leader at Wesley Campus Ministry at Itawamba Community College.

How was your experience on the Paul Finebaum Show?

This experience was surreal. I realized that this experience does not come often. I decided to step out of my comfort zone to speak to the SEC crew about the importance of getting vaccinated and educating them on how the influenza vaccine does NOT cause the flu. I will forever remember this experience!
