Highlights

The Tran Trail Hike

An early April event invited members to take part in a 10 mile hike. Starting at Uncle Tom's Cabin in Shoeburyness, our hikers walked along the seafront through to Chalkwell beach for a quick pit stop and breakfast at Saltwater Beach Cafe. The hike continued past Leigh Heritage centre which was packed with local history! Our adventurers continued their journey through Hadleigh Country Park and were 'on track' to their end destination at Benfleet train station.

On route to the starting point.
A quick ride on the Southend Cliff Railway
Breakfast at Saltwater Beach Cafe.
Hadleigh Country Park.
10 miles later and on track to the finish line.
End point at Benfleet train station.

Meet & Compete @ Utopia

We mixed things up this Meet & Eat by adding a games element. Utopia has an amazing assortment of things to play with! We also had 'The Wrong Trousers' clothing stall out again with even more goodies to buy!

Enjoying cake and coffee over a game of scrabble.
Early evening downstairs at Utopia.
The best Victoria sponge in Southend!

Thank you

Once again a thank you to those of you that donated to 'The Wrong Trousers' clothing stall at our last Meet and Eat. To the lovely Megan for helping run the stall the whole evening! Hugs to the staff at Utopia for providing such a welcoming and cosy space!

Supporting Transpire with Donations

Over the last three years Transpire have been very fortunate to have the financial support from a number of organisations. Last year we were awarded a grant by the People's Health Trust. This fund has had a huge impact on the group. Enabling Transpire as a voluntary community group to run multiple events throughout the year. But we still need donations to help keep the group running sustainably.

Did you know that on average each Meet & Eat event costs £150 to run. This includes venue hire, food and drink for the buffet and the raffle prizes. These are some of our most popular events, enjoyed by everyone in our local community. Transpire also has other operational costs like running our phone service, website hosting, book keeping, printed material such as leaflets, insurances and safeguarding checks.

You can help support Transpire in the following ways:
