ADVENT WEEK 2 God's Timing

God of all creation, we see great need in a world. We hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor and we want to act. We want to see change, now. But we know that your timing is not our timing, and we trust in your work. We humbly commit to be active co-laborers in your vineyard, doing our part for your greater glory. Amen.

Patient Trust - Part 2

We continue our prayerful reflection on the poem by Teilhard de Chardin, SJ.

And yet it is the law of all progress that it is made by passing through some stages of instability— and that it may take a very long time. And so I think it is with you; your ideas mature gradually—let them grow, let them shape themselves, without undue haste.

Reconciling ourselves to the world means trusting God to provide what we need, when we need it.

Scripture: Matthew 3:1 – 12
John the Baptist appeared, preaching in the desert of Judea and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" It was of him that the prophet Isaiah had spoken when he said: A voice of one crying out in the desert, Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths.
